We’ve been working on the parts of MyTransgenderCupid you use every day: looking through profiles, starting a conversation and signing in. These updates bring clearer member pages, credit-based Spotlight and safer access with passkeys. Here’s what we changed, why we changed it and where to find it.

Getting to know someone
shouldn’t mean searching for the details.
When you visit a profile, you want to find out more than what someone looks like. What do they enjoy? What are they hoping to find? As we reviewed the site, we found that small text, unclear icons and crowded sections made those details harder to read than they needed to be. Our team has reworked the layout so you can spend more time getting to know the person.
We also looked at the steps around a conversation: how you get noticed, what your credits can do and how you protect your account. Below, we’ll walk you through the changes. To respect our members’ privacy, the profile examples use fictional portraits and names; the account-control screenshots show the features themselves.

Member Profiles That Show More of the Person
Member profiles now give photos, interests and relationship intentions a clearer place on the page. In the earlier layout, some text was too small and personality icons were difficult to see. We’ve increased readability and given the sections more breathing room, so the things you want to know are easier to find.
Discover Shared Interests and Personality
Shared interests and personality details are easier to read, with clearer icons and larger text. We wanted a member’s story and music preferences to feel like part of the profile, rather than details tucked away below it. If you both enjoy gardening or the same music, you now have a little more to work with when you say hello.
The compatibility percentage compares My Match preferences. It can help you spot something you have in common, but it can’t tell you whether you’ll get along. We’d encourage you to read the profile and ask about something that interests you, even if the percentage is low.

The large profile photo opens the gallery. Additional photos still follow the account’s existing viewing requirements; a softly blurred thumbnail and lock indicate restricted access. Favourite, gift, friend, block and report actions remain available where the relevant account conditions allow them. Spotlight: Boost Your Profile with Credits
Spotlight lets you give your profile extra visibility using credits, without taking out a Premium membership. We’ve made the difference between a Spotlight boost and recent activity clearer, so you can see what each badge means before deciding whether to use your credits.
During our review, the old Spotlight area sometimes showed just one profile, leaving a lot of empty space. We’ve added recently active members alongside boosted profiles and arranged twelve profiles in two rows on desktop. A Spotlight badge means the profile is promoted; Recently active means the member has been active. We keep those labels separate so recent activity isn’t presented as a paid boost.
Check the activation screen for the current credit cost, duration and availability before confirming. Placement follows member preferences, and a boost cannot guarantee views, replies or matches. Start with a clear portrait and a complete profile, then visit your member home and Spotlight area (sign-in required) to see the options available to your account.

- Sign in and open the Spotlight area on your member home.
- Choose the available boost and review the credit cost and duration shown for your account.
- Confirm only when you are ready to spend the credits. Spotlight is separate from Premium and does not guarantee replies.

Free Credits and Profile Rewards
Free credits and profile rewards are now brought together on one page. We wanted you to be able to see what you’ve completed, what’s still needed and how many credits each step earns, without having to piece the information together. Completing your profile, having photos approved and returning during the week can all count towards the rewards shown below.

One-time milestones are awarded once across the website and app. Weekly rewards follow Monday to Sunday in Amsterdam time. The invitation reward has additional conditions, including the invited friend’s profile completion, verification and activity.

Conversation credits offer eligible accounts a limited way to unlock an individual chat. Eligible non-Premium accounts can use five credits to unlock one conversation for 24 hours, subject to the profile and account requirements shown in the interface.
Once messages have been released during an unlocked period, you can still read them afterwards. If new messages arrive after that period ends, you may need another unlock. We’ve kept the requirements visible because we want you to know what you’re getting before you spend credits. Premium access and individual chat unlocks have different conditions.

How to use conversation credits
Use conversation credits from an eligible chat’s unlock screen; the conditions are shown before you confirm.
- Open the conversation you want to read or continue.
- If your account is eligible, review the unlock option and its conditions. The current offer uses five credits for one conversation for 24 hours.
- Confirm the unlock to use that conversation during the access period. New messages after it ends may require another unlock.

Safer Trans Dating Sign-In with Passkeys
Safer trans dating sign-in with passkeys gives you another way to protect your MyTransgenderCupid account. We added this option because a passkey is tied to the website: it helps protect you from entering a reusable password on a lookalike login page. It’s also easier to use day to day—on a supported device, you can confirm with your fingerprint, face or device PIN.
WHY IT MATTERS
Protect your account.
Sign in with a familiar device prompt.
Passkeys use a cryptographic key pair instead of a shared password. Your device or credential provider keeps the private key; the website uses the public key to check the sign-in. Your fingerprint or face unlocks the credential on your device—it is not sent to MyTransgenderCupid as a login secret.
Availability depends on your browser, device and credential provider. Your password remains available as another sign-in method. On MyTransgenderCupid, a password reset revokes existing passkeys, so you will need to add them again afterwards.

How to add a passkey on the website
Add a passkey on the website to protect sign-in without typing a reusable password.
- Sign in to MyTransgenderCupid and open your account security settings.
- Choose Add a passkey, then confirm using your device’s fingerprint, face or PIN prompt.
- Once the passkey is saved, use Sign in with a passkey on the website’s login page. Keep access to your password and recovery email.
Protect Your Account with Strong Passwords
Strong passwords still matter if you prefer password sign-in. We’ve added a generator so you don’t have to think up a complicated password yourself. We also made registration and password reset use the same 8–64 character range, so the rules stay consistent when you need to change it.
Use a different password for every service and let a trusted password manager store it. Whether a browser offers to save a password depends on that browser and its settings. Use the Show control only when you can safely view your screen.
Login protection is one part of dating safety. Photo verification adds another signal, but it does not guarantee someone’s intentions. Keep personal information private, take time to get to know someone and use the report or block tools when needed.
A CONNECTION CAN GO PLACES
MyTransgenderCupid on Android: A Refreshed Spotlight
MyTransgenderCupid on Android now has the refreshed Spotlight experience too. Our team brought across the clearer activation screen and separate badges for boosted and recently active profiles. You can review the credit cost before activating a boost, and Spotlight remains separate from Premium membership.
We also corrected colours that were difficult to read in light mode, while keeping the app’s familiar pink styling. The screen below uses fictional member portraits to show the layout; the members and credit balance you see in your own app will be different.
Keep the app updated through Google Play to receive the current version. Website sign-in improvements described above refer to the website; passkey support should not be assumed to be available in the Android app.

Does Spotlight require a Premium membership?
