Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how MyTransgenderCupid (“MyTransgenderCupid”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, our iOS and Android applications, and related services. It also explains your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with the MyTransgenderCupid website, the MyTransgenderCupid applications for iOS and Android, and related services (together, the “Service”). “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
Controller: 2Date Media (see “Contact” section below).
The Service is intended for adults only. You must be 18 years of age or older to use MyTransgenderCupid. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
We collect personal data in three ways: (a) data you provide, (b) data collected automatically when you use the Service, and (c) data from third parties where you choose to connect those services.
3.1 Data you provide
- Account data: email address, password (stored in hashed form), and, where you use phone verification or phone login, your phone number and verification status, preferred name, date of birth, country, gender (and related account settings).
- Profile data: photos, profile text, preferences, interests, and other information you choose to add to your profile.
- Communications: messages, chats, support requests, and reports you submit (including reports about other users).
- Verification / safety signals (if used): information you provide to help us prevent fraud, enforce our policies, and maintain platform safety.
- Purchase and support data: the product or plan selected, purchase platform, support correspondence, and information you voluntarily provide when asking about a payment, refund, or subscription.
3.2 Data collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, interactions (e.g., likes, favorites, blocks), timestamps, and click-stream events.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, language, and access times.
- Cookies and similar technologies: cookie identifiers and related data as described in our Cookie Policy.
- App and device data: app version, build number, operating system version, device model, language, time zone, push-notification token, coarse technical region, and security or integrity signals needed to operate and protect the Apps.
- Diagnostics: crash information, performance diagnostics, and technical error context. We configure production diagnostics to avoid recording passwords, access tokens, message contents, or complete server responses.
- Transaction and entitlement data: Store product ID, transaction or order reference, original transaction reference, purchase and expiry dates, renewal and cancellation state, refund or revocation state, Store environment, package or bundle identifier, purchase token or signed transaction data, and a pseudonymous app-account reference where supported.
3.3 Data from third parties
We may receive limited data from service providers where needed to operate the Service:
- Apple: transaction, subscription, refund, revocation, and App Attest integrity information for the iOS App.
- Google: Google Play transaction, subscription, refund, acknowledgement, and integrity information for the Android App.
- Firebase services: phone-authentication identifiers and status, push-delivery tokens, crash diagnostics, and, on Android where enabled and disclosed, app-usage analytics.
- Advertising providers: advertising identifiers, consent status, ad-interaction data, and coarse device information where permitted by law and your device or consent settings.
We do not receive your complete Apple ID, Google account password, or full payment-card details from Apple or Google.
3.4 Special category data (sensitive data)
Some profile information may reveal special category data under the GDPR (for example, information about sexual orientation). Providing such data is optional. Where required under applicable law, we process special category data only when you have provided explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time via your account settings or by contacting us (see “Your Rights” below).
We use personal data to provide and improve the Service, keep the platform safe, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with you. Typical purposes include:
- Provide the Service: create and manage accounts, display profiles, enable messaging and interactions, and personalize features.
- Customer support: respond to inquiries and provide assistance.
- Safety and integrity: prevent, detect, and investigate fraud, abuse, policy violations, and security incidents.
- Payments, subscriptions, and entitlements: verify purchases, activate and restore Premium or digital credits, process renewals and Store notifications, detect duplicate or fraudulent transactions, respond to refunds and chargebacks, provide support, and meet accounting or tax obligations.
- App reliability and security: deliver push notifications requested by you, diagnose crashes and technical errors, protect accounts and APIs, and validate App or device integrity.
- Service improvement: analytics and research to improve reliability and user experience.
- Legal compliance: meet legal requirements and enforce our Terms.
When the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide the Service and memberships you request.
- Legitimate interests: improving the Service, securing our platform, preventing fraud, and enforcing policies (balanced against your rights).
- Consent: for certain optional features (e.g., marketing communications where required) and for certain cookies/advertising technologies where required by law.
- Legal obligation: processing required to comply with applicable laws (e.g., accounting and tax obligations).
- Explicit consent: where applicable for processing special category data you choose to provide.
7.1 Website payments
Website payments are processed by our payment service provider. We do not store full payment-card details. We may receive a transaction reference, amount, currency, payment status, billing country, fraud or chargeback status, and support correspondence.
7.2 Apple App Store
Apple processes purchases and subscriptions made in the iOS App. We may receive and process the Store product ID, transaction ID, original transaction ID, purchase and expiry dates, subscription status, renewal status, refund or revocation status, Store environment, signed transaction information, and a pseudonymous app-account token. We use this data to validate the transaction with Apple, provide and restore Premium, prevent fraud and duplicate processing, handle Store notifications, and provide support.
7.3 Google Play
Google processes purchases and subscriptions made in the Android App. We may receive and process the product ID, purchase token, order or transaction reference, package name, purchase and acknowledgement status, purchase and expiry dates, renewal status, refund or revocation status, and related fraud or integrity signals. We use this data to validate the transaction with Google, provide and restore Premium or purchased digital credits, prevent fraud and duplicate processing, handle Store notifications, and provide support.
7.4 Retention and disclosure
We retain transaction and entitlement records only for as long as needed to provide paid access, comply with accounting, tax, consumer-protection, and anti-fraud obligations, resolve disputes, and handle refunds or chargebacks. Some records must remain after account deletion where required or permitted by law. We disclose payment-related data only to the relevant Store, payment provider, professional adviser, fraud-prevention provider, or authority where necessary and lawful.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.
- Access controls and account security measures
- Secure transmission where applicable (e.g., HTTPS)
- Monitoring and measures to prevent abuse and fraud
- Data minimization and role-based access where feasible
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including: providing the Service, complying with legal obligations (such as accounting and tax requirements), resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and managing chargebacks.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and why it is processed. When we no longer need personal data, we delete or anonymize it, or securely store it and isolate it from further processing where deletion is not immediately possible (for example, in backups).
Store transaction identifiers, subscription history, refund or revocation records, and accounting records may be retained after account deletion for the applicable legal, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, and chargeback periods. Push tokens are deleted or disassociated when no longer needed. Crash and technical diagnostic data is retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or aggregated, subject to the retention controls of the relevant provider.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data and receive a copy
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your personal data (subject to legal and legitimate business reasons to retain it)
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability (receive data in a structured, commonly used format)
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing already performed)
You can update many profile details in your account settings. You can also close your account using the functionality provided on the Service (where available). We may request proof of identity to protect you and our users before fulfilling certain requests.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Deleting your MyTransgenderCupid account does not delete records held by Apple or Google under their own legal responsibilities and does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed separately through the applicable Store.
MyTransgenderCupid may use service providers and infrastructure located in different countries. Where we transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we use appropriate safeguards as required by law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
If you want more information about international transfers and safeguards, please contact us (see “Contact” below).
We do not allow anyone under 18 to use the Service and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user under 18 has provided personal data, we will take steps to remove the account and delete the data, subject to legal requirements.
To help prevent repeat registrations by minors, we may retain limited data such as email address and IP address for fraud and safety purposes where permitted by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the website and update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
