The origin of MyTransgenderCupid
The story behind MyTransgenderCupid has kind of a sad touch attached to it. It was on my trip to The Philippines back in 2014 where I noticed a lot of transgender women and how difficult they have it even in a country like the Philippines. General tolerance is there, but not wholly accepted.
And still to today, a majority of the people still hold intolerant views toward transgender persons. There the idea came from to start a decent and sincere dating site focused on bringing a transgender woman and a trans-oriented man together.
It started with MyLadyboyCupid that opened for public back in 2014. While the term ‘ladyboy’ is very common in the Asian world, in the western world it is often associated with sex and porn. That is why in 2015 we opened the doors of MyTransgenderCupid.com for the western world.
As of today, My Transgender Cupid is runned by a trans-supporting team that has one goal, to create a trans-friendly community that also leads to more meaningful love life for transgender women all around the world.
